I fell in love with a dream,
and then I woke up.
It felt like a gut punch.
I wanted so badly for
the dream to be real,
but it wasn't.
The antonym for
dream is
reality.
And the reality
was
that she could
never love me
like I loved her.

The thing that makes me love your poetry dear Thomas, and I do truly love it is that even when you speak of women, you do it with such dignity and respect, which is truly wonderful as a fellow lady poet, I find that you have a massive amount of charm, all so often, I read poems that are loosely written with a dig at women, and I just find it gross, but yours even when they make me blush are beautifully created and that's the sign of a real poet. Kudos my friend. 🌹
You are the sweetest, dear Teddy. Thank you so much.
