The Moon
It’s beautiful
Isn’t it?
Most people
Talk about
The sunrise
But I like the moonlight
I like the moonlight because
The moon comes out
At night
And when it’s night
It’s dark
I don’t like it because it’s dark
I like it because the moon lights up
This dark world
The nighttime
Is the darkness in this world
But the moon is
That little bit of good that’s left
All that is left to say is
I promise
There is still good out there
You just haven’t quite
Found it

- Comment from author about the poem: This poem was written by my now 23 year old granddaughter when she was in highschool. I\\\'ve kept it along with a couple more in a folder, and reorganizing my work space I came upon it again. I felt I just had to put it out there. Hope you enjoy it.

Beautiful
I greatly appreciate you reading and your kind comment, I will pass it along to my granddaughter.
You're welcome
Wow, this is so reflective and emotional in poetic verse. Your granddaughter certainly has the talent of her grandmother 🌹
Thank you Teddy. She wrote this in one of her highschool classes, and when she sent it to me I was blown away, I had no idea. I will pass along your comment, I know she will be greatly surprised.
I too like the night especially on a moonlit night. Great imagery and a great flow with a message that deserves hearing.
Thank you my friend, my granddaughter truly surprised me with this. I will pass along your wonderful comment, she will be thrilled.
A fine write Bella by your grand-daughter. There's not a lot of moonlight to see at this Summer season in the UK just now, but we've passed the Longest Day now.
Half way to Ch...... Can't say the word until December or Goldfinch will shoot me! lol.
You are absolutely right, don't say it Orchi, you never know what the consequences might be, or maybe you do. Thank you for your sweet comment, my granddaughter is going to be very surprised.
Absolutely delightful .. & she's clearly a chip off the old block
Thank you Nev, she absolutely astounds me. I will happily pass along your lovely comment.
Great work by your granddaughter, Bella. Now both you and she should get out and appreciate the moon while you can, as do I. for pretty soon it is all going to get dug up! 😜
Relieved to see you back on board, now with some poetry and exchanges I can relate to? Stay well, please.
Thank you dearest Dave, it's so good to be back, and thank you for kind comment which I will relay to my granddaughter. I'd love to get out and look at the moon each evening, as has always been my habit right before bedtime, but the weather here has been so stiflingly hot, with so much humidity you can hardly breath, especially at night. But it would be nice to enjoy it before it becomes another opportunity for McDonalds and Walmart to expand. Take care my friend, looking forward to those exchanges.
I can relate to your heat and humidity difficulties, Bella. Not so long ago....... but right now it was well under ten degrees centigrade OUTSIDE when I awoke this morning.... Brrrr..... Go well/stay well, I insist!!!!
I wondered why I hadn't seen much from you lately Bella. But welcome back, you and your granddaughter both have a common talent and it's nice to see that. I enjoy the Sun at Sunrise and at Sunset when the golden hour is the gateway between day and night. The Moon goes so well with the starlit night. Both days and nights are wonderfully beautiful. I agree though that the heat has been a bit too much though. Alas, it is Summertime. I'm not a Winter person. 😎
My dear friend, thank you so much for your comment, I am passing all of those to my granddaughter and she will be thrilled. My sweet girls amazes me in all that she does. I've gone through an interesting period due to allergies and what I found out were migraine headaches, but with a wonderful neurologist, and his magic prescription, I'm definitely on the mend and back in the world. Take care!
Glad to hear you're on the mend. Keep that quill wet. 😊👍
Very good words by your granddaughter Bella, I too love the moon.
Andy
