Doubt's coal burns a hole where shame chars its name
smoke obscures, vision blurs, with the flame of smoldering blame
unsteady hand embers fanned Sputtering spark sets fire to the dark
from tears of guilt a lake is built, high watermark on white bark

Thanks Gold. I appreciate the read and visit my friend.
A thought provoking write. Guilt isnโt an easy emotion to deal with for most people. It leaves them suffering. I wonder how people who have committed heinous crimes deal with it? Maybe they have the power to click off the thinking switch altogether. Great write and visuals.
Thank you Cassie I appreciate as always your read and comment they are most valued.
