smoke obscures, vision blurs, with the flame of smoldering blame

unsteady hand embers fanned Sputtering spark sets fire to the dark

from tears of guilt a lake is built, high watermark on white bark

                    A thought provoking write. Guilt isn’t an easy emotion to deal with for most people. It leaves them suffering. I wonder how people who have committed heinous crimes deal with it? Maybe they have the power to click off the thinking switch altogether. Great write and visuals.
