The wash

sorenbarrett

Inevitable becomes impossible

when life begins and ends

dry clean guilt reverts washable

clean glass of conscience bends

After days fight

with the suds of lasting night

mud now white

all blood washed bright

It has to be symbolic when it says in the Bible - they washed their garments clean in the blood of the Lamb (Jesus). Otherwise, blood will stain and not clean.
Or is it a metaphor? Or an analogy? Something like that anyway. I'm not sure of the differences.

I'm confused at times as well Orchi Metaphor, analogy, slimily, parable whatever. It is indeed symbolic as is the washing in the blood of the Lamb. Death in a nonreligious belief resets the score. Thanks so much for the read and the patience.

This, or these could very easily be two separate but otherwise inextricably linked poems ..

Conversely as one, they comprise more than the sum of its secular parts .. Neville

Perceptive as always. Yes so true it began as one but another was created and amended to it as the thought occurred. As always I appreciate the read and comment.

Each day begins anew my friend? In the dark of night the clutter of mind is washed away, that we may begin anew to face each day. The cycle of life, beautifully written.
