Glory Be!

Tune: Aurelia

('The church's one foundation')

1 Corinthians 1 v.26-31

***********

For here, do see your calling

The lord works through each thing

You see how not many wise

In worldly ways comprise

Those who are called, nor many

Who are noble, mighty

But God has chosen they who

Foolish by world are viewed

This to confound worldly-wise

Who proud in their own eyes

And He has chosen weak things

Of the world, to shame things

Which are mighty in world's sight

But they not follow right[eousness]

He brings to nothing what be

Seen by world as worthy

'Tis so that no humans boast

In His presence from coast

To coast, but in Him glory

His Son our wisdom be

And too He our righteousness

Sanctification, yes

And our redemption, praise we

God all for his glory

"Blessed are the meek for they shall inherit the earth", wise my friend and beautifully said. I'd say Glory be!

Thanks Bella. Yes - though the worldly minded say 'How can the meek inherit the earth? They will get trampled over\'. But they will inherit it.
