The Sky Calls

Thomas W Case

It's been five years, but
I still miss her.
Home was in
her arms.
That brown hair and
those blue eyes still
dance through my
dreams.
Everyday was
Valentines Day when
we were together.
She's always in my
heart, but the
sky calls;
time doesn't.

    Powerful words, that portray a longing. Perhaps the tense on the last few lines should be changed to past, or am I missing something? Much enjoyed. - Phil A.

    Such a beautiful and tender description of one loved and gone, but never forgotten. Your heart speaks the words of every line, and is heard. Thank you for sharing.

    If I could have put it into words as elegantly as you my dear Thomas I would have been famous... Absolutely beautiful and heartfelt. 🌹
