~> The Game Of Love ( Shakespearean Sonnet )

Thad Wilk

I waited as my final card was dealt.

I kept them close to my heart, held them tight.

I will win her love, so sure I had felt.

My Queen of hearts would fall for me tonight.

```
One chance in a million's all I would get.
The stakes were high and I had but one shot.
I wagered all that I had on this bet.
I drew my 'Queen of hearts' and won the pot.
```

Loves a gamble that we all like to play.

I felt like a King when this game was done.

I got a "royal straight flush" on that day.

I bet all I owned and her hand I won!

```
In the game of love, she was all I'd choose.
When I drew my Queen, no way could I lose~
 ~~~```~~~```~~~```~~~```~~~```~~~

    Poker and passion - no wonder you were royally flushed, Thad.

      Very good sonnet Thad.

      I had a royal flush when my Mary came along.

      A good write in a format that I have difficulty with. Never had much luck at cards but did at love. Both have the same rules if you stay in the game too long you're bound to loose
