All caught up .. The fly replied
I thought as much, the spider drooled, my appetites returned ..

Cheers my friend .. Neville
Oh what a tangled web we weave....
Reminded me of my grandfather that used to sing to the kids "Baby bye there's a fly let us watch him you and I....." Oh yes I know it has much deeper meaning as well.
Thanks sorrenbarrett & you bet'cha
So this spider, in conformity with modern taste, has dispensed with the parlour and all that palaver and went straight.....even avoided the chase...?
There was not enough time to do otherwise ..
Come on...the spider wasn't starving...I ain't going to pay full price if the parlour isn't bought back.
Sorry Neville - even I've got standards......
reluctantly reinstated .. my word, what a palaver ..
A nice write, mate. Made me smile.
Good to hear Tom, thank you .. Neville
Quite a write, I shall never look at a spider web in the same way again. Poor fly!
I feel sorry for them as well Bella ..
Spiders win in my book. Flies are a nuisance. Clever that you gave them the power of speech (and drooling?).
