In Our Hours

orchidee

Tune: Hawkhurst

('Come gracious Spirit, heavenly dove')

*********

Come to us, Lord, in hours of need

We be your sheep, you still us feed

Give courage, strength, for what we face

You who know all the human race

Grant good outcomes and to us show

Your workings so that we may know

Your presence, you our guard and guide

With and within us you reside

Calm fears, bring peace, and healing too

Our bodies, spirits, souls renew

Trusting in you, we ne'er alone

Your love and mercies to us shown

You shall not leave us comfortless

But you will help and will us bless

Our prayers and thanks shall be to you

To us you ever faithful, true

Prayer plus medicine, I would say.

With much respect for your faith .. and my fingers crossed for a swift positive outcome for those relatives of yours .. and by the way, a well crafted hymn poem with excellent aesthetics .. Neville 🤞
