my mind rebels at stagnation

DeadRose

Notice of absence from DeadRose
i will return.

For when everything around me is dull

Like as if it were a cancer, a true disease, spreads

And roots itself slowly into my lungs, stomach, heart, then mind

Becomes all muddled in a haze and i lose track of time

Staring,

bearing

this cutthroat borderline madness

Drove me to shoot at our wall

Not that it helped, blast it all!

i may begin to melt away in this chair

A pool of nonsense is what i am,

Nothing today to chip at or fiddle

Could clean my room, could go out for a walk

Mundane things will drive me into a rut

Spoon feed me adventure! Where are you? How long should I scavenge?

Come find me! I am not shy! Give me a challenge!

I will fist fight, brawl boredom until I receive liberation!

My mind rebels at life's stagnation!

Great wording in this poem. A topic common to many. Some create their own entertainment others need it to come from outside. Nicely done
