Tune: Dominus Regit Me
('The King of love my Shepherd is')
Psalm 95 v.1-7
*******
O come, let us sing to the Lord
And joyful noise be our word
To the rock of our salvation
Who rules o'er every nation
Let us come before His presence
With thankfulness and Him sense
Make joyful noise to Him with psalms
This be from our hearts our alms* (*our giving)
For the Lord He a great God is
Great King above all gods, this
Be so, and in His hand He holds
Earth's deep places, it be told
The strength of the hills is His too
He mad sea and dry land view
We His creation, O come, let
Us worship, bow down, e'en yet
And come, let us now kneel before
The Lord, He our maker sure
He is our God, we His people
Of His pasture, praise Him all

Good one Orchi.
Thanks Gold.
My very dear friend Bob sadly now long gone wrote a book called One Flock One Shepherd .. he found Christianity late in his life .. I thought of him and the title of his book when I read one of your recent hymn poems .. Bob was an amazing guy .. He went to fight in the 6 day war of 1967 and only let him in when they misread his name in his passport believing it to be Cohen .. his name was Cole .. He was gutted when he arrived on the seventh day after the conflict had supposedly ended .. we now know of course, it never did .. Neville
Thanks N.
I love the music part and have gone to church in the past just for that. Good write Orchi
Thanks SB.
Good one, Orchi.
For me, it sings better with Alms. Giving is harder. Probably just me.
Thanks Jerry. Yes, just a note I added to explain 'alms'.
