Thomas W Case

You chatter away like
an angry squirrel,
I watch you scamper
off and finally resemble
a fading flower.

I find much humour in this probably because I'm a women. 🌹

this has happened to me too once or twice,
I just seem to attract nothing but rodents these days .. Neville

Was this directed at a woman? Seems like or maybe just my prejudiced view of things.

No offence to those with genuine memory problems, but I can't remember where I put the 3 brain cells that are responsible for my memory! lol.

I'm a rodent of sorts - a guinea pig as in my pic. Not giant hamsters, as I explained in a previous poem to folk.
Though we've a giant rat or two in our garden, about the size of half a cat!

    Powerful penning
    a poignant write! ✍️
    Awesome use of
    metaphor,
    to read a delight!! 👍
    Best regards ✌️ Thad

Short and sweet says it all, a very interesting analogy. I feed the squirrels at a tiny picnic table on my deck, and love to watch them scamper when I walk out the door. Such a fun write!

I'd like to say how much I liked about this, but I forget how.

Nicely done, Thomas. Some cracking imagery.
