Word Wholeness

Tune: St Francis Xavier

('My God, I love thee, not because')

Psalm 119 v.146-152

*********

I cried with my whole heart, hear me

O Lord, look on me, see

I will your statutes surely keep

You take me for your sheep

I cried to you, Lord, come save me

And it shall certain be

I shall keep your testimonies

With them my soul agrees

I rose before the morning dawn

Cries of help to you borne

I hoped in your words, I awake

During night for your sake

So that I then might meditate

In your word, it be great

Hear my voice, O Lord, according

To your mercy, each thing

Revive me, bring me your justice

So I secure in this

For they draw near that mischief seek

They far from humble, meek

You Lord are near, all your commands

Are good and right demands

I have known your testimonies

Remain ever, true this

I cried with my whole heart, hear me

Such beseeching, spiritual words Orchi. Finely penned. May your God always remain close and listen to you.

A happy Friday to you and Mrs Botox May the sun shine on you.

I really like those few opening lines ..

They also remind me a little bit of John Otway's Crying Real Tears With Both Eyes ..

Here is a nondenominational hymn that might be said to be applicable to various religions as well. Are you becoming more liberal Orchi? Yea i know it is bible based. Very nice

Thanks SB. I'm not keen on too liberal, as it can bring in all sorts of odd, eccentric ideas and beliefs.
I couldn't make this up - at a leaving service for a Vicar at a liberal church, two Zulu warriors appeared at the end, and did sundry grunts and dances or whatever. Vicar was embarrassed, being bit shy.
