Vulture, dog, pig and chicken
what we call people that us sicken
But then what is in a name
did someone not say that a rose by any other would smell the same
Excuse me for stealing verses
not much better than robbing lady's purses
Next time when someone calls you a name
just think of the rose and laugh with no shame

Sticks and stones will break my bones but names will never hurt me. Learned that at a very early age in primary school Soren. Sadly too many these days appear to like the sticks and stones. We are living in a world of conflict. Poetry makes it so much better. Yours is a joy to read.
Thank you so much Cassie for the read and comment. Your visits are deeply valued.
Thanks for the reminder, Soren!
Thanks Mutley for the review and you are welcome for the reminder. Have a great day
So true, well written.
Thank you for your review and tolerance of my rant.
sound advice reads like this .. 😎👍
Thanks Neville just another rant that had to come out. Thanks for your tolerance.
It took me time to work out it was not my problem, unless I was the abuser.
Thanks for the comment. No not anyone's problem. Shouldn't be a problem at all then there would be no one to blame and no one to feel bad.
Soren, Soren, Soren – you know this is not what the whole debate, loosely labeled ‘Political Correctness’ by those who do not like the original idea is about.
So the concept that language shapes our attitudes, the way a culture places its elements is long debated.
The most simple and obvious example (which should lead you to determine which side you are on) is that of ‘Chairman’: Argument – term excludes in people’s minds women from the role. Response from the other side (that you?) ‘Nah, rubbish- but if you must, we will use the term ‘Chairperson’ so we can continue to keep up our conservative backlash intact’.
For my money, ‘Chair’ would have done the job. (That’s me!)
Good try Dave how about Chairhuman it is as good as chairperson. That way we inflict the same damage we did when we labeled woman the man emphasized maybe it came from contracting woe is man.
Not a 'try' Soren. An attempt to argue a case and convince.
Let's leave it alone.
Seems to me the name calling was a immature childish way of emotionally
inflicting hurt upon another. That was many years ago, or is it? Politics I thought was supposed to be about what and how a candidate intends to do to make his or her country better off by earning the votes of the people they represent. Today tactics are much different where they stop at nothing to dig up or fabricate their opponent's dirty laundry and throw them under the bus. Politics has gotten way out of control. 🫤 Great write soren.
Thanks for the read and comment Accidental the key word is "supposed" . Politics has grown so dirty that if you remove all the grime there would be nothing left. I say grime because it is so close to crime. Thanks so much again.
Crime seems to be Politics middle name these days, You're always welcome soren. 👍
This is wonderful and I would never call you anything but a rose 🌹 such a wonderful peice of philosophy and wisdom. 🌹
Thanks so much Teddy Rose is my nose after a night of drinking. Thanks so much for the encouragement my friend.

Hehe - what, got no sewage that I can cook for her dinner? lol.
Being kind of hard on the vultures dogs, pigs and chickens, eh? The message stands though.
You know I didn't think of it that way. I guess I've got some apologies to make. Thanks for the read and comment
Good words soren.
