Another day has begun,
I awake and look out,
Today is different
All I see is mist,
But no matter
It is still warm.
All I hear are foghorns,
The sounds from the ships,
The ships that I cannot see.
But none of this matter
As me and my lover are here,
Here in our favourite place,
In our favourite place once more,
And all is wonderful.

Hello Andy. Enjoy Bembridge. You brought me a warm, misty morning in summer. I could almost taste sea salt. Your posted music was stirring. Have a great day.
Thank you Cassie, it was wonderful walking along the beach in the morning.

A lovely setting for this poem in the mist and I can hear the ships horns. Safe in the arms of one loved, no better place.
So kind soren and so true, thank you.

An island of love, I remember these scenes I remember when I was in the isle of white and it was very misty, thanks for bringing back my memories, the coloured sand still makes me smile too. Happy holidays 🌹
It certainly is an island of love as far as we are concerned Teddy, thank you.

I was there on a day trip in 1970. I remember people drinking tea on the beach.
