Moving On

Moving On

I take it you’ve moved on from me.

I feel it in my heart.

But, if I’d loved you differently

would we still be apart?

I loved you in the only way

a heart like mine could do

and if I asked you now to say

“What was it made you blue?”

Would you still say “Another day

would be too much with you.”

A sad write. Laments about how things would be if we were different are not very helpful. A nice write in rhyme.

Fab rhyme, awe, so maybe just maybe in the end love came to an end, but your poetry is truly wonderful. 🌹

A really poignant poem about love gone wrong. Nice rhyme and a good flow to the lines. Happy Tuesday MendedFences.
