Tune: Harwich
('My God, I am thine')
***********
Give thanks to the Lord
He is the living word
For He is the Lord true
He does us renew
And His mercy endures
To you and to yours
For ever does last
On Him your burdens cast
Let the Lord's redeemed
Say so, he has deemed
To come and to save you
From troubles not a few
For you He has rescued
With mercies endued
Saved from enemy hands
He drew you from all lands
In the wilderness way
They roamed there night and day
No city to dwell in
Desolate they therein
Hungry, thirsty, fainting
To the Lord their troubles bring
Cried unto Him there
He did answer, did care
He them delivered
To them His heart was stirred
And brought them out He did
From distress, them hid
Under His shelter sure
They resided, for
He the right way led
Went before as their Head
And so to city
Of habitation, see
They went, praised His goodness
He did them there bless
Too His works wonderful
He does show them all
Satisfies our soul
Feeds them and makes us whole

A departure from the classical approach to the more popular. A nice and refreshing look Orchi
Thanks SB. Fido says not too much 'excitement' (lol) but I've had experience of happy clappy too!

Thanks Gold.
an inspiring hymn poem if ever there was ..
Thanks N. though Fido won't let me have too much 'excitement' in some areas of life (lol), though it's a jolly hymn in the video, if I say so myself.
