You nod and plod, without protest,
such a happy Earthbound guest,
why oh, why, do we complain,
as you smile in the rain?
Oh, pony, oh, pony, down Millgate,
your silent love does banish hate,
oh, pony, oh, pony, of the street,
your example, should repeat!
whilst we choose; our different coughs,
you sip with thanks, from water-troughs
as yet again, we clear the air,
but as we breathe, nothing’s there!
Oh, pony, oh, pony, down Millgate,
your silent love does banish hate,
oh, pony, oh, pony, of the street,
your example, should repeat!
Your inner peace, will outlive,
please oh, please, teach us to give,
we, who choose to write the war,
in all that’s right, you keep the score!
Oh, pony, oh, pony, down Millgate,
your silent love does banish hate,
oh, pony, oh, pony, of the street,
your example, should repeat!

- Comment from author about the poem: Down near a street I live, I sometimes see a little pony, who seems to be happy just being them, a pony. With that said, I thought I would write a poem about it, as to me, it's wholesome simplicity, is always a goal, that we chosen convoluted humans, should strive for. Due to the improbability of me seeing the aforementioned pony, I do not have a photograph accompanying the poem, but when I do, and if the photo uploader on here chooses to play ball, I will attach one. I hope that you enjoy the poem, praise be to the pony, and as always, please do stay safe everyone.

Thanks for the read and for your lovely words Andy.
If only such a symbol of simplicity can be the inspiration, to implement a brighter tomorrow.
I hope that all is well.
