If Looks Could Kill
that look on his face was
the look of delight
one might well expect from
a lost man found ..
whereas the look on hers
was clearly one of
anger, contempt and disgust
one might have
guessed would be found
on the face of a
woman historically scorned ..

Ah Neville you have left me with no clue as to who was found and who was scorned. So many fit this profile. Such a contrast portrayed in this, Even a metaphor for poets recognized and those not and even put down. Loved the flow and the contrast as well as word choice.
I like to let em think they have not been noticed .. I'm just biding time .. and we call that a win win around these here parts .. thanks .. Neville
Feels like an old master I saw in a gallery somewhere, but cannot recall...
Clear picture in a few words though.
Go on, make my day why don'tcha π
Sounds like a hell of a story lurking in there somewhere. π€
I was shaking so much I cut it short and made it into a scribble .. cheers mate π
Good write N.
I never see KP's true looks - always covered in a mask of botox she is. lol.
maybe she's just being a bit coypu
Good words Neville, some people just cannot accept others.
Andy
there's nowt so strange as folk .. N
This little scenario, played out to me like threesome in a tv play. Husband and wife meet very old friend. He, delighted to see his old mate, her not so. But then maybe it was a reminder of something in the past well hidden from unsuspecting husband. And you know what they say about a woman scorned lol. Hell hath no fury. How are my detective skills doing Neville? Go on, make my day. π
I just hope you n Bella don't get together and gang up on me or I'm in BIG trubble .. π
Ha! Now donβt go planting ideas in our heads unless you want trubble:)
