A Nervous System

Elias H.F.

When the brain named the nervous system, mine seemed to take it literally

So here I am again

Wondering

Contemplating

Ruminating

But no matter how I internalize

I never seem to realize

Until my fingernails completely dematerialize

Clever play on words here. I too am nervous at times and always for a reason. I ruminate and seldom does any good. A great read

...Which is the reason I shut it down, when I'm able, that is, since it's very present when least desired.
    Lovely and evocative.

    This intellect
    Can`t get
Me out of this self-created prison
    It has its limitations

    Great write, and funny too!

Economy of word play in no way diminishes the meanings of this little piece. Ingenious.
