I can see farther in the darkness than in the light
two million light years to the farthest star at night
With the scales of the sun over my eyes I see two miles
vision dimed by light's golden tiles

I never thought of it that way. Thanks, Soren, and so poetically put.
Thanks for the review and comment
A fine write SB.
Erm, does the No.7 bus got to Outer Space? What is the timetable?! lol.
Thanks Orchi yes but it only comes once in a millennium, hope you don't mind the wait
It may not seem such a long wait as Goldfinch and I are millions of years old, so we say!
Absolutely true . A most interesting outlook and much appreciated by this star gazer. Very nicely conveyed sorenbarrett. Things much close to home can certainly be hidden from us.
Thank you Cassie for the read and review as always it is deeply appreciated

Thanks Thad I appreciate the read and most kind comments
It is true that we are often blinded by the light, but when our eyes are allowed to adjust to the dark it is amazing how much more we are able to comprehend. Wisely said my friend, and beautifully presented.
Thanks so much Bella I truly appreciate the read and comment. I believe we are often blinded by the light and after a while we do see better.
Tremendous work.
Thank you so much Thomas
