Unanswered Sunrises

rebellion_in_sanity

No, I don't want,
I don't want to speak.
Floating in numbness,
Bound by the void of defeat

Every word I utter,
Echoes back to me
Mocks my desperation
Desperation for the meaning that I seek

Who am I?
Why do I see the sunrise?
Why so many known faces
Spin webs of deceit and sweet lies?

Should I believe?
Believe in my destiny
Am I destined to be
A monkey dancing without harmony?

The music I hear
Loses its melody
Cacophony rises like a crescendo
It splits me open like a carcass in a slaughter machine
I scream and scream 'Release me from misery'
'Give me, oh Lord, give me a sanctuary '
