The sullen swimmer
Stands
Stoic-like
In the wake
Of the waves.
Observing.
An obsidian obelisk
Against
Waves of aquamarine.
A charcoal soul—
Pale visage—
The brooding bather
Solitary stands
In a crowd
Of recreational revelry.
Unmoved
The statue of stare
Observes
The fish schooling,
Fooling
In the murky abyss.

Thank you!!! ๐
top marks from me Tristan.
a most impressive write;
Thank you kind sir! Much appreciated!
Haha. Looks reminiscent of... surely not Charlie Chapman?! He's too dressed to enjoy skinny dipping, that must be it.
Hahaha! Yes! He looks like a cross between Chaplin and E.A. Poe! Quite the combo! Glad you enjoyed and it brought a smile to your face! I know it brings one to mine!
Very tasteful. I think E.A. Poe would approve.
Thank you! I hope so! ๐
This poem effectively conveys a feeling of quiet isolation. The language is expressive, and the mood is consistent throughout. Itโs a thoughtful and engaging piece. Well done dearest Tittu ๐นโค๏ธ A fave โค๏ธ
