Life's Music

RL Randall

Life’s Music

I can no longer

hear life’s music.

It’s suppressed by the noise

of war and hate.

Fruitlessly I listen

for the joy.

Maybe it will find

its volcano, then erupt.

And for a time

we can listen in peace.

You are a poet. By definition, you hear what others are unconsciously deaf to. Listen more closely. Go out to the quiet places for a minute to recharge your batteries.

A poet, no, I simply write the rhythm of my thoughts. but thank you for the complement.
