I’m going on holiday.
It will only be for a few days but
It will be a change in scenery.
I’m very excited.
What will I see?
I’ll be on the water and there will be tides.
I’ll be able to walk along the beach.
I can pick up treasures.
Shells and rocks mainly.
See strands of seaweed on the sand.
Sand dollars.
Sea lions might frolic nearby on rocks.
It will soon be over.
I’ll come home to fall days.
And
We played Rummikub every night.
Had a fire.
Ordered in sushi and pizza.
Spent a day in Sidney and shopped.
Relaxed.
We’re home tomorrow.
Then a wedding.
It was a short vacay after all.

Aha! This is pretty indeed! Nothing like diary entries, which, though short and sweet, are loaded to effect. Thank you very much for sharing.
