The sun reflects off my watery eyes
In a world so blurry nowadays.
Doesn’t seem to bother me, anyhow
Feeling alive I just soak up the rays.
We both have a habit of silence
Holes in my jeans, lost in thought
Am I just losing or finding myself
I don’t know but this hope’s all I’ve got
So when you reached out just the other day
A reminder you’re still holding on
We both tend to struggle with opening up
Or admitting out loud when we’re wrong
Everyone tells you, be patient
When the weeks and the months disappear
Still waiting for you to find courage, someday
Is it wrong to just wish you were here

No. It's not wrong. And the time does indeed drag on longer than can be measured by mere marks on the calendar page. Yet truly, when whom your awaiting is finally here, it'll be well worth it, no?
In reading this poem, I got a sense of the poet, musing with thoughts, floating through their head. These thoughts culminate in the desire and wish for another. A dreamy and wonderful field to this poem.
