Your calming song

Maplespal

Your calming song

Reactions over actions in my dreams,

always repetitively misguiding it seems,

tricking me into forgetting what is true,

these days when I review you my you.

Actions from the reactions show me you,

show me what remains in my view,

show me the memories I dearly hold,

bring forward the ones misplaced and old.

Reviewing is now my go to thing for you,

the love I have for you is end of time true.

We were meant to never be apart for long,

death silenced your heartbeats calming song.

Loss and missing the departed remains the theme in this poem. Nicely written

  • Cheeky Missy

Aww, I am at a loss for words! This is so heartbreaking! You're killing me! I cannot go there with my father or my mother, for it kills me. Oh, how gently you frame a heartwrenching reality which haunts hour after hour interminably, the subtly growing poignancy driving the facts into place with that perfect conclusion. Thank si very much for sharing.
