Aloft the skies, ascend your praises high

To God, great Lord of all, for He is nigh

The Lord, Creator, reigning over all

Salvation to whoe'er  on Him does call

 

Swet incense rise, express your worthy scent

Of glory, honour, thanks, make no relent

The ever-living Lord of heaven and earth

Your needs He meets, no fear of meagre dearth

 

With rapturous tunes, extol Him all the while

His holy presence, pure, without defile

Trust in His love, His grace, His promise sure

To save, redeem, and cleanse, and make you pure

 

Banners unfurl, flags, streamers, all employ

And myriad instruments sound forth the joy

Of His salvation, graciously He gives

That whoe'er turns to Him, such ever lives

 

What praise, what thanks, abounding from within

Can full express my freedom from my sin

Though perfectly we can ne'er reach the end

Yet humbly we adore, worship our Friend

 

A great crescendo, praise and honour due

To Him, great God of all, He will renew

Sing forth, mine heart, mine mind, of graces bright

'Til time eternal, 'til faith turns to sight
