We stood together as a nation twenty three years ago. We came together and loved each other through tragedy and sorrow. The many lives that were lost; how in an instant our world changed. Since that day on September 11th, nothing’s been the same. We once stood tall and showed compassion for one another through sorrow and despair. Never left each other to face deep pain on their own; we showed how much we cared. We came together once before. With the know how. We didn’t second guess ourselves or our decisions that day twenty three years ago; why do we do this now?

Divide and conquer was the line which now is working in lieu of the other. We're fighting for our lives, unable to see beyond our doorstep.
Beautifully rendered plea in memory of that fateful day when our freedoms began to visibly depart. Thank you for sharing.
Excellent write
A good question asked. This poem honors the day and shines with a call for unity. Lovely
Wonderful reflection poetry, makes me sad to know nothing really has changes although I do know the world united at least for a day. ❤️
In tragedy we as nation can. It’s sad that it’s not like that.
