A Winter Passing

Cassie58

the price one pays in life for love

is grief, so when it grips you know

the measure and the depth of it

when passes on another soul

it took a fall of winter snow

its simple beauty pure and white

to break the numbness that I felt

to let the tears flow gently down

the flakes of crystal doomed to melt

were swirling, whirling dancing free

those quiet moments standing there

alone with all my memories

one door has closed yet clearly now

with eyes wide open I can see

without a doubt I loved her well

she was indeed a friend to me

One said 'Live so as to be missed'. A poignant write Cassie. Grief seems wintry. We are shivery emotionally here.
Meanwhile - I wouldn't miss KP if she left for a thousand years, let alone a day! lol.

Touching with appropriate delicate wording in beautiful rhym that falls from the tongue as soft as falling snow with such a sense of respect. Beautiful imagery set in the metaphor of winter as a symbol of death,

Sometimes it can be about words unsaid ...and now..
                        Thanks Cassie.

Yes the words unsaid. Better to tell people you love them, than to leave it until itโ€™s too late. Happy Tuesday Dave. Excuse me while I just reach for my flag ๐Ÿด๓ ง๓ ข๓ ฅ๓ ฎ๓ ง๓ ฟ๐Ÿ˜‰ Happy Tuesday.

Wonderful words Cassie, some people in your life bring so much meaning to it. We must always move on as I am sure those people would not want us to dwell on the sadness but remember the good times together.
