Harsh truths

Natalie Heisey

You walked back through that door, same old story, same old lies, Said you'd change, but I'm not seeing it, can't you see through my eyes?

You point fingers, say I'm rushing, but I'm just trying to be real, You left me for another, now you want me to fully heal.

You think I'm worried about you, but I've given up that fight, I'm done with all the games, I'm done with sleepless nights.

You left me broken, now you want to mend,But I'm not the same, and this is where it ends.

You say you want it slow, but your actions speak so loud, You left me in the dark, now you want me to be proud.

I'm not here to play your games, not here to be your fool, If you can't see the change in me, then you're the one who's cruel.

You think I'm worried about you, but I've given up that fight, I'm done with all the games, I'm done with sleepless nights.

You left me broken, now you want to mend, But I'm not the same, and this is where it ends.

Harsh truths and broken dreams, that's all you've left behind, You say you've changed, but you're still the same, love's made me blind. No moving along, 'cause I don't want this new start to end,

My final call, I'm back on track, finding my way again. You think I'm worried about you, but I've given up that fight, I'm done with all the games, I'm done with sleepless nights.

You left me broken, now you want to mend, But I'm not the same, and this is where it ends.
