tiptoe

NinjaGirl

quiet round the memories

try and think without them trapping you

sneaking round my brain

try and learn without them in my way

searching for purpose

try and block out any thought of him

hush don't awake it

try and keep the beast a sleeping

hoping for more

try and find your true self

Quiet round the memories

lest they consume your soul

Both tiptoe like a puddy tat on padded paws so as not to disturb the dead, and also find another, far different path to tread altogether, for replacing the hellish evil of that literal devil is virtually the only escape possible.
Excellently rendered with a haunting, beautifully painful poignancy. Thank you for sharing.

Love sure can make sleeping an ordeal, eh? Nice work.
