Whispers of a Fleeting Hourglass

In the hush of twilight’s gentle sigh,
Where shadows breathe and moments die,
Life weaves a tapestry, thread by thread,
A story of laughter, a tale of dread.

Each dawn breaks softly, yet carries the weight,
Of dreams unfulfilled, of love turned to fate,
The sun climbs high, a gilded crown,
While hearts in silence wear a frown.

The children play beneath boughs of green,
In a world that's vibrant, yet seldom seen;
But in the corners, where the wildflowers grow,
Lie the secrets of sorrow, hidden below.

Time, an artisan, chisels our skin,
Etching the lines where the past has been.
We run like rivers, but meet the sea,
Bolstered by moments of sweet reverie.

Yet clouds gather heavy, and storms roll in,
The laughter falters, the smiles wear thin.
Life’s cruel irony, a backhanded jest,
Leaves hearts weary and souls in unrest.

Ah, how we chase after glimmers of bliss,
Ignoring the shadows that dwell in the mist.
We cradle our hopes in fragile palms,
And seek solace in fleeting, fanciful balms.

But the mirror reflects what we dare not face,
A journey of fragments, we strive to embrace.
Each heartbeat a whisper, a tick of the clock,
Moments cascading like pebbles on rock.

Yet in sorrow, there blossoms a strength so profound,
In the tears we shed, a resilience is found.
For joy is a seed that can sprout in the dark,
When watered with heartache, it ignites a spark.

So gather the fragments, both bitter and sweet,
Embrace the ephemeral, let sorrow retreat.
For though life is fleeting, its beauty runs deep,
In the dance of existence, our spirits must leap.

Let us carry the weight of our stories untold,
And forge a new path with hearts brave and bold.
In each fleeting hourglass, let love be the tie,
For through every sorrow, we learn how to fly.

Very, VERY beautiful and wonderfully rendered with a livening poignancy which grips the soul gently while a bittersweet yet delicious reality unfolds to the superb conclusion. Wow. Impressive and gorgeously rendered to effect with perfect imagery. I love it!!!! Thank you so very much for sharing.
