look at dancing sunbeams
that glint before your eyes
pretty pretty they may be
but they are only temporary
for when the cloud blots out the sun
it signals their demise
sunlight on the water
that dazzles wild and free
spangled gems that sparkle bright
worth more than gold to me
their presence is but fleeting
a passing memory

Thank you Andy.
What would we have to write about except the sun, the clouds, wonders of nature. This is right up my alley. Nice.
Thank you so much Dan. I do like to write about the natural environment. I live close to the Thames, so that is often a source of inspiration for me. I am fascinated by sunlight on water. Pleased you stopped by.
