Lord release me from this affliction. 

Let Your healing love rain down on me.

Unbind me from these chains of addiction,

and from this living hell and misery.

Lord hear my plea and answer my prayer.

I know that for me You have better plans.

Help remove these dark shadows of despair.

You're my salvation my life's in Your hands!

Lord send me the courage and strength I need.

So that I may get through another day.

Give me a sign Lord, that I will be freed.

Guide me on the right path, show me the way.

Lord stand by me in my recovery;

wipe my slate clean, grant me serenity~

        From the words of Job to those of Jesus pleas to take away the cup but no, that is the lesson of the world. Addiction is a terrible disease and needs to be treated as such. My heart goes out to addicts of all types. My addiction is to food, water and air and that is bad enough
