More wistful now than poignant,
Whistling softly with the wind,
Dancing dapples of recollection,
Allow forgetfulness to begin.
Whirling notions stirred aloft,
Willowy wisps in pirouettes,
Patina-ed shimmer intertwines,
Sure Hope no regret can forget.

Used to decrease aspects of dimentia seems a clue to the title's tie to the poem. The poem itself is masterful in its wording feeling wistful and the last line is genius in its tying of hope, regret and forgetfulness into their relationship. Lovelu
A sobering thought there, friend. Dementia runs is long both sides of my family… not something I’m keen to look forward to!
Don't worry you have no signs of it in your work and as long as you exercise your mind with poetry it will stay in shape
That is the hope here and many a year to follow! Thanks. Hope your family has been safe on the tornado side.
All of the above in a celebration of Ginkgo biloba. Been around for a very long time.... worked? I don't remember... Last line summary great, Rik.
Reworked, more like 🙂 thanks kindly. 🙏🏻

Love it
Cheers Tony 🙏🏻
Well, well, a tidy little bit of exposure and neatly tied up lesson. While I'm still disinclined to try it, this is very sweetly rendered with excellent imagery and none too subtle poignancy. Thank you very much for sharing.
