As the days go by, I think about how I’ve come so far,
I’ve got a husband that loves me, 3 dogs, a house and a new car ,
I used to think I would be stuck and just spinning my wheels,
but after trusting in God, my destiny He reveals,
I’m meant for so much more than I had,
those of you that truly know me, you know that it was bad,
but I surrendered to the Lord and He gave me a way,
breaking me free and leading me to where I am today,
yes there are struggles and yes it’s not easy,
but being a Christian isn’t meant to be a breezy,
the devil comes at me from all different directions,
I get unset , then GOD brings to mind the reflections,
of where I was and where I am today,
reminding me that He has never left my side all along the way,
So I rebuke the devil and tell him that he will never have me,
because my Father has broken the chains and has set me free,
free from the pain and free from the hurtful memories,
only the good remains and the damaging ones flee,
So Life’s blessings begin with One,
The God the Father , the Holy Spirit and Jesus - three in one,
