ying and yang

devil_dear

light always leads darkness into a deep slumber ,
thought they never cross paths ,
they are polar opposites ,
still they stay so close yet so apart .

one is always rewarded with fame ,
the other is only ever associated by shame ,
neither darkness nor light wishes to fight any hour ,
its us who makes it seem like a combat for power .

they never really shake hands,
neither do they ever take a stance,
for one for the other, there seems no latter,
for us it should be no better.

if they ever leave the trance,
turn on us and leave us for dead; their hence,
the abyss that exists; for us no risk,
until they leave the void for it would make no noise.

A very thoughtful piece that provokes the reader to think deeper than the surface. Nicely done

Dang! THIS is fun! I love it. Fascinating and intriguing with a haunting poignancy and such flips as if the thought is doing cartwheels, it's too beautifully rendered. Thank you very much for sharing.
