soon to be his cause of death
was his secret, kept.

He fiddled with life
but divine music arose
from his violin.
Paganini played
with three strings slashed, what others
failed with four attached.

Edvard Munch
Pity “ The Sick Child”
based on his dear sister’s death
his first “soul painting.”
“Inger on the Beach”
earns a rocky reception.
Art misunderstood.
Self portrait “The Scream.”
He was stretched to the limit.
Screamed of Nature’s truth.
