On Shakespeare's Timeless Verse

Matthew R. Callies

In sonnets crafted by a master’s hand,

Each line a bridge to hearts both near and far,

With quill in ink, he wove a magic strand,

A timeless dance beneath the evening star.

In love’s embrace, he captured fleeting days,

The beauty of a youth that must decay,

Yet in his lines, that beauty ever stays,

A fragrant bloom that never fades away.

Through words of longing, joy, and deep regret,

He spoke of love that echoes through the years,

In every verse, our hearts and minds he met,

Transcending time, defying all our fears.

So let us praise the bard, whose art remains,

In whispered winds and timeless, sweet refrains.

Hear ye! Hear ye! Aka Shakespeare's inimitible charm was his ability to make you endeared to him, in love with him. Beautifully rendered with excellent imagery and a lively poignancy, not to mention delightful form. Thank you very much for sharing.
