Awake Once More.

Goldfinch60

Once more I awake from sleep,

My lover sleeping by my side,

Another day I will reap

Filled with loving life and pride.

So many days I have had

In my long and superb life,

Not so many days were bad,

So few were filled with any strife.

Each day brought me something new,

A wonder for me to see,

Maybe nature for me to view,

Or music to set me free.

I look on the life I had

And am so thankful for it,

Looking forward to days to add,

Never ever will I quit.
