Each day we count our steps,
The counter on our ‘phones tell us.
So yesterday once more our steps were counted.
I walked to the car,
Drove to the coffee lounge,
Walked in and sat down,
Had my coffee,
Talking to friends.
Walked back to the car,
Drove to the pub.
Walked to the bar,
Met some friends.
We had lunch
And a couple of pints.
Walked to the loo,
Walked to the bar,
Finished lunch.
Walked back to the car,
Drove home.
Walked from the car,
Into our home we went.
Walked to our chairs
Sat down and rested
After a busy day walking,
Walking nearly one mile.

I do believe they've reduced the recommended number down from around ten thousand .. but dunno why ..
Yes they seem to have reduced the recommended number for some reason Neville, no matter thought I rarely reached 10,000 steps.

I often go by walking speed of 3mph, so about 20 minutes walking is one mile. So you didn't walk for 20 minutes all at once?!
I tried my electric wheelchair instead of walking - bit difficult getting upstairs with it. lol.
No not on that day Orchi, we did yesterday though so that was better.

Step by step we grow one step closer. Just another step to our goal. So true Gold it's funny but I too was working on a poem about steps but in a bit of a different angle. A most fun read
Thank you soren, yes we do get closer each step we take but I have many more to take yet.

Opening a bottle of uses 14 muscles so it is great exercise even before drinking it Teddy. LOL

Yup, it also records flights of steps engaged, heartbeat at any given activity, plus a whole slew of other things… even reminds us to meditate!
Meditation is right arqios as you need to meditate on which beer you are going to drink. LOL

The journey sounds exhausting... the sojourns perhaps invigorating??
An offbeat laugh I enjoyed, Andy.
Thank you Dave, much appreciated.
