A twisted tail

sorenbarrett

Betrayal a serpent tail developing after birth
it slowly grows until it shows venom under mirth
Attacking the rear, a bite or whisper, lies hidden in disguise
catching its prey where they lay with lies of surprise

Coiled words catch trusting birds in their nest or as it flies
viper cold, sheds skin of old, revealing new scales of treacherous lies
the right, antidote for the bite, a serum of forgiveness
An enlightened savior excuses the behavior escaping future sickness

Post election? Although you have also given a fair description in your first stanza of my older sister. Powerful dearest sorrenbarret and relatable for so many subjects 🌹

Those serpents can get in many places soren, one day we may be able to get rid of them.
