Foolish Love

PoeticBiscuit

I’m scared of love,

The more it lifts me up,

The further I have to fall.

So when I met you-

I promised to keep my guard up,

Then I instantly forgot.

Must’ve lost my train of thought,

Somewhere amongst the ocean that is your eyes.

The heart is our single most important organ,

Yet I willfully give it away,

Entrusting it to the arms of another.

Free falling in love,

No parachute to brace me.

Perhaps I’m foolish,

But I’m foolishly in love with you.
