I Wish You Life

hangin

I wish you life,

like trees that move with the wind,

like grass that grows strong after the rain.

I wish you calm skies above,

and peace in every step you take.

I wish you good things,

a chance to start fresh and heal.

With this new hope,

I release the pain you left behind.

I won't look back,

no second chances this time.

I wish you life,

in this cruel time.

  • Comment from author about the poem: For those who wronged me and caused me so much pain, I wish you a better life. A better life without me. That, I believe, is a far better idea than continuing a connection that only brought me agony and despair. I wish you life, I wish you growth, healing, and peace. But most of all, I wish to never cross paths again with anyone who has brought me so much pain. This is my way of letting go. No hate, no anger. Just the freedom to let go.
