Truth

sorenbarrett

Truth  is light that can not be grasped
Air with no handles, briefly gasped
Just as light slips through your fingers
Warmth of vapor in your lungs so briefly lingers
To know the truth you must see all
In a crevasse's depths Veritas does fall
Into shadow's realm we can not see
Only where there's sun's glory
Shadows change through the day
As it moves along in its harlequin way

...'cannot be grasped... reminded me: I'm trying to save water, but it's not working. Fido says, I wish you would stop trying to fill that bucket full of water using a sieve! lol.

This is profoundly true. What do we actually know? An epistemological question, but very much related to this. We think we know the truth, but we only ever see a smidge of the reality around us…trapped in subjective minds, how can we ever truly be objective? Ah, i digress. A wonderful poem that sparked these philosophical musings. Well done!

I refuse to be drawn into the arena of cleverest and witty review response on the grounds that I believe it would be crass .. but I have no objection to admitting you have poemed something quite beautiful & that s the bloomin truth .. 👍

I seem to dwell way too much in shadow's realm, leaves me struggling to recognize change. Thanks for this.

Truth should always be with us but in many occasions it is missing soren, just ask a politician!
