I don’t care much for the night,
With its darkness and absence of light.
Give me the glorious day revealing the waratah every time.
The Night seems an afterthought,
God ran out of ideas.
Even the stars barely shine out there.
The Moon looks disappointed.
Sometimes it even rains at night,
And covers up the darkness,
With something even darker.
Show me a beautiful green field in the daylight,
And I will show you a place of fear and dread at night.

A beautiful expression of the dichotomy between day and night stated. I love the line. God ran out of ideas. And also- Cover up the darkness with something even darker. Beautifully stated
Thank you very much.
Funny you’d say that. It was raining all last night and the mercury dropped you’d think it would slip backward to winter! We did the laundry with the damp, overcast sky - the laundry liquid is Waratah scented as well. Pretty confused climates youda thort we were in Melbourne.
Yes raining at night is a double darkness. Thanks for your comments
Most welcome 👍🏻 Ground’s still wet tonight but the rain’s stopped, for now. Too lazy to look at the forecast, lol.
Beautiful
Thank you
You're welcome
Good write David.
Thank you so much
Fine words David but the beauty of the night shows such wonder to me especially sitting outside in the summer nights with a glass of something tasteful by my side.
Andy
