What is an infant's first thought?
Different perhaps than what we've been taught
Likely mundane and basic I fear
Like how in the world did I get here!

That's a very interesting suggestion, leading me down a trail I never thought to take. I mean, there's Jacob and Esau who struggled together in Rebekah's womb, which seems to indicate they had plenty of thoughts BEFORE birth. Fascinating and charmingly rendered in tasteful brevity.
