Drip from the tap

sorenbarrett

Sitting in the dark
no place to park
I don’t belong here
Piece of lint
Broken arm no splint
Not wanted here
Cast off
Too soft
Let me disappear
Eyes turned away
Not here to stay
Let me out of here
Out of place
Don’t recognize a face
Gone from here

Lived it, abhor it, wonder what my senescence will surprise me with, should I last this next decade! Another pet peeve- clocks tat tick-tock. Have to be silent ones or I won’t get any sleep. Had to bury one wrapped. In a beach towel, stuffed in a shut washing machine and the laundry door likewise sealed and shut! ⏰ grrr!!!

In truth I doubt that very much, Soren. You would greet whatever situation life thrust at you with the flexibility which would ensure you found a way......

Story of my life. Reminds me of the pain and lonliness a person can feel when they have no one to turn to.

What a poem! Beauty in brutal honesty - it felt like a painting of alienation, a potrate of understanding and pain of rejection. Please correct me if the understanding was off.
