In life there are three kinds of people
Whose minds are of differing kinds.
The first kind have a mind like rock,
Their thoughts are carved there,
Unmovable from their life.
They stay angry or sad or frightened
For a long time,
And cannot move on to a better life.
The second kind have a mind like sand,
Their thoughts vary.
Anger and sadness are written there
But they can pass away quickly
Because sand shifts,
And their thoughts change .
The third kind have a mind like water,
Their thoughts cannot be written.
Most pure and undisturbed
Thoughts never can be written there,
They just flow through,
As they are not held on.
Buddha says.

A fine write Gold. Do you say 'Ommm'? Or is that not related to Buddha?

A most lovely poem from a beloved leader. Nevertheless, my wife says that my thoughts are like stone being a stubborn as a rock, but she says that she has broken them up into sand and they wash away, not retaining anything and then they are times like Water she says I am a drip.
Thank you soren, most kind. Wives do have the power to adjust our thoughts but we would not be without them.

Oh, how very interesting! My mind I think is somewhat nomadic, vacillating between the three kinds depending on the situation, season, and sauce…. But that’s just me. This deserves to be delved into further. Thanks for sharing Andy.
Thank you arqios, yes the mind can be changeable but as long as it ends up in good thoughts all is fine.

Seems like you are engaged in much reading lately, Andy, and if it means you can haul out and provide me with gems like this and 'Death Asked Life' then whatever you do, don't stop..
Very much appreciated Dave, if I can help I always will.

Well considered words. Budda says many things. That is not a path I have chosen Andy but I am fairly open minded. Religion causes an awful lot of problems on our planet.Food for thought here though, have a very happy Friday.
Very true Cassie. I am a believer in my god but I think that organised religion is a farce.
